Some volunteer roles:
Aid Station: Hand out gels, fruit, snacks, water, etc.  
Start line/day of bib pick up: Help hand out bibs, tell racers where to line up, set up, take down tables, etc.  
Finish line: Record times, help racers recover and get back down the hill, give out water, food, etc.  
Lodge set up: Man the results board, music, etc.  Set up and clean up
Course sweep: Sweep the course to make sure we aren't missing anyone.  

For your efforts, you'll get a race shirt, food, and whatever swag we've got!
